Open a new tab and go to github.com.

Find the 'Sign up' button in the top right corner. It's the gateway to your developer portfolio.

Use your professional or personal email. This is how you'll be identified.

Create a strong password (keep it safe!). GitHub hosts your code assets.

Select a unique username. This will be your URL (github.com/username). Choose wisely!

Solve the visual puzzle to prove you are human (and not a robot script).

Check your email inbox for the launch code and enter it on GitHub. Check spam if missing.

Go to the target repository URL provided by your instructor (or use this demo repo). This is the 'Remote' we will copy.

Click the green 'Code' button and copy the HTTPS URL.
